Publication and Logo Design

Over the course of my final semester I have been given some amazing opportunities to further my design skills. I was able to become a MSU College of Business-Business Consultant for Sauce Headwear. My group and I worked on several projects for Sauce, but my main focus was creating and designing an assembly workflow manual for their products. It was such a pleasure to work on the project and I learned so much! So thankful I have received these kinds of opportunities to really utilize my skills as a graphic designer! Below is a selection of pages from the workflow manual, so proud of how it turned out!

Also, during the course of this semester I have been approached by friends and classmates to design logos for them (pretty flattering right)! Here is a logo I created for my friend Andrea. The logo is for a hypothetical steak house located in her hometown of Circle, MT.

A Collection of My Grandmother Update

My final semester of college is officially winding down! But with graduation looming closer it also means the end of my final undergraduate photography project. These last couple of weeks I have been working hard on my thesis entitled,  A Collection of My Grandmother. I developed some of my final rolls of film this last weekend and still have a lot more to get done before my final and last critique, but I thought I would share with you some of my favorites so far.

Sneak Peek-Spring Senior Thesis

I am starting to get very excited about my thesis project for my final semester of college! This project has been photographed with a Rolliecord Twin Reflex Camera from the Czech Republic, which dates back to pre-World War II! Crazy, I know and it still works like a charm! Oh if only cameras could talk I can't image all of the things it has seen! I can't exactly figure out why I am having so much excitement over this project, maybe it is because I am back in the darkroom developing my own film and being hands on which is quite refreshing since I have been so focused on the digital side of things for the last year. There is definitely something magical about losing control of your work as an artist and seeing the magic of a picture appear on film. The feeling of creating something so purely on you own is quite an amazing feeling I can't believe I forgot how much I loved this hands on process!

The basis for my thesis this spring is remembering my Grandmother who passed away in February of 2012. Through this series I will be exploring the life my Grandmother has left behind and the comfort that her belongings bring to my family as we continue on without her.
